I've now reached my second blog post, and I must say this will be quite an exciting one.
Thanks to all of your prayers, and by the will of God, I received my acceptance letter from YWAM London 2 weeks ago.
I'm officially going to the UK.
It hasn't hit me yet that I will be leaving the country in 4 months.
I have a lot of things I need to get done before I venture over seas to a new world full of british people and rainy days, but I'm trying not to worry and I'm simply giving it all to God and hoping for the best.
I'm applying for my passport soon and shortly after that I will need to get my visa.
I've been spending these past few days trying to come up with ideas for new artwork.
The artwork I will be making will be auctioned off to help raise money for my mission.
I even have a few close friends who are willing to create some pieces in support of my trip.
I'm currently working out all the details and the date for when this art show will take place, but I really hope you all will be able to make it and support me on the journey still ahead.
I'm really excited for what God is doing in my life and the plans he has for me.
The Lord has been showing me recently the importance of love and how we take it for granted almost everyday.
Without love, there would be no life. Jesus died for us because he LOVED us, and still LOVES us- at this very moment in time.
Love is what we were created to do. That is why I want so badly to do YWAM and serve God by loving others and showing his love to those who don't yet know him.
John 15:12-13 says "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
I want to thank all of you for your support and prayers, and I hope you will continue to pray for me as well as the rest of the YWAM London team and staff that will be joining me on October 4th.
I love you all.
God Bless!
Lots of love,
Makayla
